Our service is free and signing up for a plan through us is free. You pay the same premium whether or not you have us as a resource. Although free, our help is not without value. When we help you sign up for a plan, you gain access to:
- Our free, ongoing help/guidance. You are paying for us whether you use us or not, as the commissions insurance companies pay agents are built into the premiums everyone pays for Medicare insurance
- Annual Part D reviews and support. We help clients compare Part D plans (prescription drug coverage) annually at no cost to you. Part D is often the most complex “part” of Medicare. As a part of this, we also provide annual Medigap reviews to make sure you have the best pricing on your selected plan.
- Our combined 30+ years of experience in Medicare and Medicare plans. The average longevity of an insurance broker is 2-3 years – most of the people in our space turn over frequently. We’ve been at this a while and aren’t going anywhere.

Rabbit Dawg2023-06-18I'll cut to the chase and give just three examples of why I use Garrett Ball / Secure Medicare Solutions as my Medigap agent. First, I vape. I assumed I would qualify as a tobacco user, so I took that into consideration when comparing policies. Garrett was the first agent to inform me that in my State of Tennessee, tobacco use cannot be taken into consideration during the seven month "golden window" period. No one else bothered to tell me that. Maybe they didn't know. I'm sure of one thing though, the insurance companies wouldn't have volunteered that information. Second, Secure Medicare Solutions was the only company that sent me estimates (twice!) without requiring a phone number, nor did they harass me with more than one followup email. Finally, my phone call with Garret was quieter than I expected. There were a few moments of what I perceived as an awkward silence, until I realized that Garret did not have a sales spiel to give me. It was all about me comparing plans, Garrett volunteering information when it was relevant, me asking questions, and then, my decision. There was no pressure, I felt free to take all the time I needed to decide. I like that.
