I assumed I would qualify as a tobacco user, so I took that into consideration when comparing policies. Garrett was the first agent to inform me that in my State of Tennessee, tobacco use cannot be taken into consideration during the seven month "golden window" period. No one else bothered to tell me that. Maybe they didn't know. I'm sure of one thing though, the insurance companies wouldn't have volunteered that information. Second, Secure Medicare Solutions was the only company that sent me estimates (twice!) without requiring a phone number, nor did they harass me with more than one followup email. Finally, my phone call with Garret was quieter than I expected. There were a few moments of what I perceived as an awkward silence, until I realized that Garret did not have a sales spiel to give me.
